Demystifying Technical Analysis

If you are thinking of starting a trading account or are new to trading, their is a plethora of information available to try to get your head around. But often, most people are already holding a full time job and finding the time to sift through all the general advice 'out there' usually results in very little research into what should you be doing in order to trade successfully, minimise risk and grow your capital.

Instead, it is easier to dabble in a few areas and start trading on incomplete information, which usually results in disaster for the inexperienced.

Our Approach

Research shows that we learn more effectively when our effort is concentrated in a classroom style environment than when left to our own schedule of distance webinar style learning courses over the internet. The reason is we have been literally programmed through the education system growing up to put our attention on the teacher when infront of a class of other students. From the need to avoid pain, we had to pay attention so as not to be embarrassed if the teacher called us out on a question to answer in class. This facilitated the learning development style of most people, whereas, when responsible for your own study in your own time, as with webinar style courses, rarely does the student complete the full course.

The Technical Analysis Academy® (TAA) is designed around you. Already working a full time job? Want to learn what the most useful tools are and start to apply them immediately? At the TAA, learning to trade is conducted in a seminar-style, instructor-led, focus group. The course runs over three successive weekday evenings and is geared to teaching the very basic fundamentals all the way to conscious competence of some more advanced techniques. The strategies you learn will position you to trade more effectively, with a higher success rate. You will learn how to avoid the major pitfalls of trading mistakes most newcomers are prone to when starting out. And build a set of core competencies that will allow you to expand your trading knowledge and set you on the path of a successful trading future.

Head Trainer

Michael Khosrowpour, CFTe, MSTA

Everyone's learning style is different. The difference between a good instructor and a great instructor, is knowing how to pass on knowledge in a way that engages your audience to think independently.

Michael is an experienced financial markets professional having worked in the banking sector for many years in sales and trading. He is a qualified Technical Analyst, and member of the governing body in the UK, Society of Technical Analysts.

He started his career in the early years working directly for the head of the trading department whom was the very first trader to hold a regulatory license to trade on all the open outcry trading floors in the UK. Michael has since held the roles of senior sales and head technical analyst, producing technical analysis market reports sent to hundreds of corporate, industrial and institutional clients globally over the years. His fortunate position has allowed him to gain insight into the markets from a sales, analyst, trader and client perspective, each having a unique psychology.

Michael believes that anyone can trade the markets, and having traded the stock market for twenty years, he knows there is no 'secret formula' to instant success in trading, but there are core competencies that every trader should know to gain an advantage.

He states; "We are living in an era of rapid informational and technological change, and it is easy to get swept off course, but knowing core principles and attaining mastery over them will keep you centered and focused on your own game"
